Small checks. Smarter purchases.

Three practical ways to assess an offer. All figures below are calculation examples, not store offers.

1. Compare the total, not just the sticker.

A product listed at $19.99 may look more attractive than the same product at $23.99. But if the first store charges $5.99 delivery and the second delivers free, their totals are $25.98 and $23.99. The second offer costs $1.99 less before tax.

Before comparing, check whether free delivery requires a minimum order, membership or subscription. If you do not already qualify, enter the delivery charge that applies to you. Include required charges and check the final amount at checkout.

In PRIZUVO, choose “Add prices”, enter the same product and both offers, and record delivery separately for each offer. You will see the lowest total and the potential savings.

2. Check the cost per unit.

A 12-ounce container priced at $8.40 costs $0.70 per ounce. A 20-ounce container priced at $12 costs $0.60 per ounce. The larger container requires more money today, but has a lower unit price.

The formula is price divided by quantity. Use the same unit for both products: ounces with ounces, pounds with pounds, or item count with item count. For a multipack, multiply the size of each container by the number of containers.

A larger pack makes sense when you can use the quantity, store it properly and afford the total within your budget. The current tool compares matching product sizes; it does not automatically calculate unit prices.

3. Make sure it is the same product.

Two offers may share a brand name but differ in model, generation, capacity, color, accessories or condition. New, used and refurbished products have different conditions.

Before entering prices, match the model number or product code, size and pack quantity. Then check condition, warranty, seller and returns. On a marketplace, the seller may be a different business from the platform.

Use the “Model / size / condition” field to record those details. If the offers do not match, create separate comparisons. Recheck the price when you are ready to buy because prices and availability can change.
